Derbyshire Law Centre - Social Worker

The opportunity and Change project is part of the national Building Better Opportunities          Programme which is funded by the European Social Fund and the National Lottery through the Big Lottery Fund. In partnership with Framework, Derbyshire Law Centre is currently looking to recruit an individual for the following post:

A qualified Social Worker (Mental Health with additional experience of carrying out Care Act assessments) is required to work on the Opportunity and Change Partnership project. The Social Worker will support OAC’s partners and their participants with multiple and complex needs by carrying out Care Act assessments or arrange provision for their mental health and social care needs to be met by health, social care and/or by voluntary sector services. This will assist their Personal Navigators to remove the barriers that our participants experience in order to become work ready in the future.
The post holder will continue to build on the previous success of the project. The postholder will be part of the senior management collective and will jointly be responsible in managing the project including its targets and outcomes as well as managing and supporting the Advocate in her role.
Fixed term: until 30.09.2019 Salary: £28,221 (full time – 35 hours a week)
This post attracts: 7% pension, 31 days of annual leave and 12 public holidays.

The above post holder will be based at Chesterfield main office and will be expected to travel and undertake home visits throughout Derby and Derbyshire.
