Chellaston Neighbourhood Planning Consultation

15 June 2016

Derby City Council has received an application from the Chellaston Neighbourhood Planning Forum to establish themselves as the group which will undertake neighbourhood planning for the Chellaston Village Neighbourhood Area.

Under the Localism Act, local communities can come together to write a Neighbourhood Plan for a specific area. This plan will, if successful, form part of the Council's statutory plan for the area and be a material consideration in any planning application. This is the second stage in the process and, this time, we are required to make people who live, work or who have a business aware that the consultation is underway and give them an opportunity to comment on the proposed group.

The consultation will last for eight weeks beginning on Monday 6 June 2016 and ending on Monday 1 August 2016.
