Derby City Council is tendering for a Habilitation Specialist (HS) to assess the orientation, mobility and appropriate independence needs of children and young people with a visual impairment, whose residential address is within the Derby City Council boundary.  The aim of service is to meet the orientation, mobility and appropriate independence needs of children and young people with a visual impairment.

The HS will inform the Qualified Teacher for Visual Impairment (QTVI) if other needs are identified and will provide advise and support to parents/carers and professionals in relation to this work.

Please note, suppliers wishing to express interest and obtain the documentation, must do so by 2pm on 16th November 2017. However, it is recommended that you express interest and obtain the documentation well before this time to allow sufficient time to prepare and submit a comprehensive response.

The deadline for returns is 2pm on 17 November 2017.

• Go to https://www.eastmidstenders.org.  

• If you haven't already registered on the e-tendering system, you will need to do so (link under "Welcome")

• Once registered, Click 'view opportunities' then 'search latest opportunities';

• Click on the contract title (TD1291 - Habilitation Services)

• Click 'register interest'.  You can then access the tender documentation through clicking on "My Opportunities" then the relevant contract.
