Lifecycle UK, with the support of Derby City Council is introducing its popular Take A Stand® scheme to Derby.

What is Take A Stand®?

It is a project that encourages more cycling by helping small businesses, charities, housing associations, community groups or other not for profit organisations cater for cyclists by providing FREE cycle parking stands.

This pilot project will see 23 Sheffield cycle parking stands distributed free to small local businesses and not-for-profits from May 2016, helping to ease congestion and improve accessibility as part of Derby's Connected initiative.

All organisations need to do to take advantage of the 'Take a Stand' scheme is a quick and simple online application process, the stands get ordered by us, we deliver them to the customer, who then installs them on site (we can provide guidance on this too!).

What does the organisation get?

We can deliver up to 2 cycle parking stands (suitable for up to 4 bikes), free of charge. The stands are the classic Sheffield stand, as seen up and down high streets across Derby.

We provide for free, we deliver, you install.

This is a great way to show the world that you are an environmentally and cycle friendly organisation, help deter bike theft and helps to realise a vision of more people benefitting from cycling.
